In the meantime, here is a summary of what goes on during a “typical Sunday” at Abiding Faith:
The kids classes (ages 4 and up), run by members, are through the double doors at the back of the fellowship hall and are clearly labeled. The adult class, run by our pastor, is in the sanctuary to your left as you enter the building.
Our services last about an hour. They start at 10:30 AM every Sunday. You don’t need to dress up to come to the service; you can come as you are. We use a traditional form of Christian worship called a liturgy, where the pastor leads in prayer and reading and singing, and the church family responds with prayer and singing. The focus is the Comfort we have in Christ.
Our sermons last from fifteen to twenty minutes. We’ll give you straight, honest talk about life—the pains, the struggles, the sins, the victories, and the joys. Our focus is always on the comfort we find in Christ. View past services and sermons here.
We have three main ways of serving our kids. The first is in a Children’s Sermon we have every Sunday during the service. The second is our Sunday school, from 9:15-10:15 every Sunday year-round. The third is JesusFIRST!, our youth group for grades 3-8. Our goal is to create safe, Christian friendships between both the kids… and the parents! We have tons of fun, but we always include Bible Study because the comfort we have in Christ is our focus.
